About Tara Miller

Tara Miller | West Kelowna Counselling & PsychotherapyTara graduated with her MC (Master of Counselling) with distinction from Gonzaga University (Washington) and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She has advanced level post graduate training in Self Regulation Therapy (SRT®) from the Canadian Foundation for Trauma Research and Education. Tara is registered with the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) of BC and is a registered ICBC Vendor with offices in both West Kelowna and downtown Kelowna.
Tara provides both general counselling as well as trauma work in: PTSD, medical/dental, relational, and motor vehicle accident trauma, falls and head trauma, as well as depression/anxiety, grief, self esteem, postpartum, sports injury recovery/athletic performance, chronic pain, life transitions, grief counselling, children and youth issues.

Tara’s therapeutic approach is based in the latest research in neuroscience and her sessions include all aspects of brain health, nervous system (mind/body with cognitive/behavioural) integration, and overall health and well being.

As a psychotherapist, Tara provides a safe environment of warmth, non judgment, and resonance. Her life experience provides her with the ability to be genuinely empathetic with your experience while encouraging and supporting your resiliency. She is obvious in her passion for her work, well educated on the latest research that supports her practice and supportive of her clients whole life progress and success.
